Our Vintage Piaggio Apé is an Italian designed Piaggio Mobile Tap Bar. Most Italians, who had been seriously damaged by World War II, lacked viable modes of transportation and, more significantly, the financial resources to purchase full-sized automobiles for their everyday lives.  In 1947 the inventor of the Vespa Scooter came up with the idea of building a light three wheeled commercial vehicle to power Italy’s reconstruction, an idea which found favor with Enrico Piaggio, son of Italian entrepreneur, Rinaldo Piaggio, who’s company initially produced locomotives and railway carriages.

Like the Piaggio’s, our tight-knit family is a part of our every move. Our dear Arybella is no different. Named after the family’s first grandchildren, Arya and Isabella, our Piaggio Ape is a reminder to us all that no matter how small a person, a dream, (or a mobile bar) is, there is a lot to be enjoyed in the journey.
